In July, 3 of us from St. Mary Magdalene were blessed to spend a week at Project Mexico with about 150 other volunteers to build homes for 8 families.  Matushka Karen Thatcher, Joseph Thatcher, and Kathy Young worked with a team from Ss. Cyril and Methodius Mission in Chico, CA on one of those houses under the able direction of Charity Thatcher and her intern Charlie Boardman.  It was a week of fellowship, hard work, and the chance to live our Christian faith in a tangible way.
