Gold Parking Spot – Please do not park in the gold colored space in the back of the parking lot on Palm Sunday, Holy Friday and Pascha as we need the space for processions. Ladies please be careful with your high heels!
The tithe of the year – The holy week services are for all of us – to walk with Christ during this great mystery of His passion and crucifixion. We Americans always find something to do instead of attending services. What else is there to do? Yes, it is tiring – I know exactly what you mean! Attend anyway – give your tithe of the year! The services of the Church and her rhythm throughout the year is the greatest teacher of our children. Form your children in the Church and you will have raised pious and God fearing young men and women who then become future leaders in our Church.
Flowers for Pascha – As many of you are aware, flowers are very expensive! We want to make Pascha a grand celebration in part by decorating our church with Easter Lilies and decorating our iconostasis. Please contribute funds to the flower box in the Hall or give your contribution to Diane Holmes. You may also donate online, visit our Online Give page and select Flowers as the fundung. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to help decorate the Church following the Royal Hours of Pascha on Friday April 10th.
Agape Meal on Pascha will be at 2:00pm. The Church will provide the hamburgers and hot dogs. We are asking for everyone to bring a small side dishes to go along with the BBQ.
Receipt of donations for taxes – please ask Jason Batson (treasurer) if you would like to have one for taxes. As a reminder, if you are using our Mobile Giving app for your donations, you may view your Year to Date (YTD) donations in the app and use that for your taxes. For more info on our Mobile Giving App click here. If you have any questions or need assistance with the app please feel free to ask Nicholas Tamraz.
Parish Photo Project – Lydia Acton is leading an effort to organize our many parish photos and archives. Please let her know if you are interested in helping.
Small Storage Shed out back gets broken into at will by anyone. Please encourage parish council members to have that torn down so that we can avoid future break-ins and bad activity around our church property.
Next Church Projects – we will be designing and getting a beautiful counter made for the narthex that matches our existing furniture. I am also hoping to remove many of the pews prior to Great and Pascha 2027 to accommodate our growth and proper Orthodox Worship.
